APPLICATION ENGINEER/SALES ENGINEER
As an Application/Sales Engineer, you will prepare analysis, proposals, and presentations, for energy related products that URM represents.
You will work with other experts within URM to develop and analyze requirements for clients’ utility expense reduction methodologies.
You will provide coordination of installation of said products at the clients’ facility.
You will provide technical support to Sales for different opportunities.
You will perform audits of clients’ facilities for selection of best solution.
Requirements
Bachelor of Science degree in either Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
Plant or Facility engineering experience.
Knowledge of specific areas; such as Heating and Air Conditioning, boilers, chillers, water systems, compressed air systems, electronic drives such as VFD’s, VSD’s and inverter drives.
Should have working knowledge of facility construction, electrical distribution systems, central plants and packaged systems.
Knowledge of utilities, gas, electric, water, waste and disposal a plus.
Clear communication skills, with the ability to perform technical presentations to engineers, technical personnel, and corporate non-technical personnel.
Should have strong math skills, knowledge of safety programs and report generation.
Existing Relationships in the Utility/GSA/Industrial markets.
Experience with a major Utility would be helpful.
Regulatory knowledge in the deregulated markets.
BILLING ANALYST
The Billing Analyst reviews basic electric tariffs and assists in running URM software for billing and client support. Additionally, the Billing Analyst performs savings analysis and invoices clients on a monthly basis.
Duties
Request monthly utility bills directly from clients or accessing them online.
Ensure that the client is getting the correct rates and savings, as presented by URM Group. If the client is not, find a solution and / or contact utility to correct error.
Be able to read the different types of electrical utility bills and know which information is of importance to our analysis.
Create monthly invoices and backup savings analysis for clients.
Update all information on a monthly basis in the URM billing database so that we may track any problems and year to date savings.
Responsible for keeping all billing files in order, creating new ones as needed or closing and filing for potential future reference.
Assist with creation of the presentations which correspond with the analysis, which is different per state and/or region.
Print the presentations and binding prior to client meetings.
Assist the department head on special projects when needed.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree required (Accounting, Finance, Economics, or Business Management major preferred)
2 years relevant experience
Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office application skills, including Excel, Word and PowerPoint
Ability to multi–task, be detail–oriented and demonstrate strong organizational skills
Ability to adhere to deadlines
Demonstrated flexibility in changing processes and procedures to meet team goals and responsibilities
Ability to present a professional demeanor while delivering prompt, high–level customer service
MAJOR ACCOUNT EXECUTIVE
URM is currently looking to hire a proven Major Account Executives for both its West Coast and East Coast offices. The Sales Associate will be responsible for Direct Sales to the market place. The right person will have demonstrated past success in increasing company revenues through rigorous sales efforts. Previous experience selling intangibles preferred.
